How do I get to the Glasgow Necropolis?

The Glasgow Necropolis is adjacent to St Mungo’s Museum of Religious Life and Art, and Glasgow Cathedral, which is well signposted, and a 15 minute walk from George Square and Queen Street Station. There are buses which can take you close by.

By Foot: From George Square go north along the side of Queen Street Station on North Hanover Street. At the traffic lights, turn right and go along Cathedral Street to the end. Cross the road at the junction with Castle Street into Cathedral Precinct where St Mungo’s Museum of Religious Life and Art, Glasgow Cathedral and Glasgow Necropolis are located.

By Bus: First Bus, Stagecoach, and Midland Bluebird services all stop nearby.

By Train: There is a regular connecting bus from Central Station to Queen Street Station. The Glasgow Necropolis is around a 15 minute walk from Queen Street Station, and 5 minute walk from High Street Station : More information via Scotrail or National Rail

By Subway: Nearest subway station is at Buchanan Street near Queen Street Railway Station. More information via Glasgow Subway

By Car – Exit the M8 at junction 15 and follow the signs for Glasgow Cathedral. Pay-and-display car parks are available in the vicinity.
